This is my first Thanksgiving as a mom and boy do things feel different. Not only is this the first year (in a long time) that I’m not preparing a bird, but I’ve already begun to cook my side dishes and it’s the day before the holiday! That never happens. The land of motherhood forces you to plan and think ahead (and get a babysitter – thanks, Nessa!), because your arms no longer belong to you, nor does your schedule. As I ran around town buying supplies this afternoon, I had my ErgoBaby on, with my perfect 21 pound turkey strapped to my chest. I had just the time between naps to get all my errands done and even managed to get a car wash. Who am I?!
Anyway, this day of thanks comes after our massive life change and I can absolutely say that I have more to be thankful for this year, than ever, EVER before.
What do you think?
