My name is Stephanie Arnow. I’m the wife of Grant Arnow. Together, we’re parents to a beautiful little boy, Remington and two pugs, Stella and Cioppino. We live in Los Angeles, and my husband is in the middle of transitioning from fulltime musician, to law student, at Loyola Law School. I work full time to support us and take care of our son as if it were the only thing in the world that mattered, because really, it is.
This blog has grown from my “Becoming Mrs. Arnow” to “Being Mrs. Arnow”. With that, the focus of the blog has changed from surviving a long distance engagement and wedding planning, to mothering, wifing, working, learning how to accept change, be supportive and how to get through Law School.
My greatest supporters in life (before Grant) are my family members and a few select friends. I’ve got 4 sisters and 1 brother, a sister in law, 2 nieces, 3 nephews and of course my incredible mom. I’ve also have fantastic supporters in Grant’s family. His mom, dad and sister (opposite of the size of my family) have welcomed me into their lives and become my constant encouragers. They adore our son and are constantly spoiling him to the nth degree.
Passions aren’t something that I can define through a few simple words, they’re something that’s defines me and though they are broad enough to fill a room, my true heart (after my family) is in art and music. Long, long ago, I got to live a dream-life with 3 of my closest friends, Emily (also my sister), Christiana and Blythe. Together, we were “Shorty 101” and man, did we have a good time together. We were signed to a major label, had an expensive apartment in NY city, got flown all over to work with top-notch producers, choreographers, vocalists and coaches. We truly had the time of our lives together, but in more recent years, I’ve really enjoyed writing my own music and singing background vocals for several notable bands. I even had the opportunity to sing with one band on Jay Leno, Ellen Degeneres, Jimmy Kimmel and Conan O’Brien, back when he was hosting the Tonight Show. Nowadays, I still play my guitar and try to write my own songs, but mostly to my son, while supporting any musical projects of my husbands, and dreaming of the day we’ll be able to start a new band together. I also dabble with Voice Over work and am excited to start taking it more seriously in the coming months.
As I “grew up” and moved from music to business, I found myself an amazing career as a Digital Producer. I work for a fantastic company located 5 minutes from my home. In addition to work, I try to be as much of a “Holly Homemaker” as possible, cooking all our meals from scratch, sewing, crafting, making stuff and exploring new things about natural family care. I love Pinterest and reading about other people’s lives in the blogisphere. It’s important to me to live as naturally as possible, but with my work schedule and obsession with spending every free moment with my son, things can get a little crazy. My blog’s new focus is learning to balance all things, while not sacrificing quality and consistency in my family life.
